In the early 1980s, there was a distinct lack of Asian food products in Melbourne. Sensing an opportunity, Mr and Mrs Luu began researching importation into Australia and sourcing reputable rice suppliers, with little English and fewer connections.
By 1983, Shuey Shing proudly received its first shipment of rice into Melbourne. For almost 40 years, the Luu family have grown to become a trusted and ethical importer and wholesale of quality Asian groceries in Australia.
